

Mammal Surveying at the Cornwall Seal Sanctuary
Seal Sanctuary Survey – 21st/22nd January 2019 To help the Cornish Seal Sanctuary get a better understanding of their resident mammals CMG organised a small mammal survey around the site at Gweek. Septimus the Seal with the Cornwall Seal Group
As a thank you to Cornwall Mammal Group for our financial contribution towards Septimus the seal, we were lucky enough to have the chance to meet and hear about his life both pre and post skeletal. Sue, Rob and Katie from Cornwall Seal Group did their best impression of Pickford’s Removals in bringing Septimus and all his baggage to talk to us at Fraddon Village Hall. Septimus was the third largest Grey Seal that has been recorded in Cornwall and he was washed up near Mevagis
