2021 Surveys and monitoring

Organised and informal survey events have continued this year with the current restrictions. This has included our collaboration with CWT and P&P on Operation Hedgehog tracking surveys. Several sites, including the CWT/Plantlife reserve at Greena Moor in North Cornwall have been monitored. As yet we have not found evidence of ‘hogs. Longworth and camera traps were also deployed. Training for dormouse survey licences has continued and despite the strange weather we have been finding reasonable numbers in the boxes.
